RM of Deer Forks’s story
The Rural Municipality of Deer Forks No. 232 incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It lies in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, right up against the Alberta boundary, with Cypress County on its western side.
The town of Burstall is surrounded by the RM, and the RM's office is located there. The unincorporated communities of Estuary and Gascoigne are also within its boundaries. Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Wednesday of every month.
